Description Adafruit ADG728 - 8 Channel Matrix Switch - STEMMA QT

The Adafruit ADG728 is a 1-to-8 analog matrix switch. This is ideal for compact and energy-efficient applications. These analog switches are a good alternative to relays, without wear and tear. The ADG728 switches between eight analog signals via I2C. This allows you to easily choose which channel connects to the analog 'D' pin.

These signals operate bidirectionally. This means that the D signal can act as an input to eight outputs or eight inputs to one output. The ADG728 is a matrix switch with eight independent switches. This makes it possible to combine multiple signals.

The ADG728 switches almost instantly, within 100nS. The chip guarantees break-before-make, which prevents short circuits. Make sure the Vin-power pin is at least as high as the highest analog voltage. Negative voltages are not allowed. These switches are for signals, not power.

In addition to the eight S pins and the D pin, there are two I2C address pins to change the default address. There is also a reset pin to open all switches. This makes the ADG728 a versatile and reliable choice for analog switching tasks.
